It's only the 11^th day of the new year and already I am liking what it has brought me so far. First of all I had the great pleasure of reconnecting with old friends from high school. To celebrate the holidays we all agreed to meet up and courtesy of Mia, we had a huge pool/costume party at her house.

It was so much fun seeing all my old friends again, especially since I've been away from them for so long. You see, I moved to the US for college and it was only now that I went back to my home country of Canada. John, Drake, Marlon, Cassie, etc., basically all the usual suspects were all present at the party. We were all in togas, ala the movie “Animal House”. It was such an awesome night (actually, the party continued till morning), it suddenly took us back to our party animal, high school selves.

Now I never thought that I would actually be staying here for good.

A few days after the party, one of my mom's friends told me about a job opening for a writer. She knew that I have been looking for a job for a while and that she recommended for the position. I thanked her for her thoughtfulness and went ahead with the application process. Luckily, I got accepted and will be starting work two weeks from now! My job will entail me to write as well as edit custom written essays and custom research papers. Though I am a bit nervous about starting the job (this being my first ever job after all), I am glad that I will be living more closely with my loved ones. My time in college away from them was fun and liberating, don't get me wrong but I missed them often.

Now I am so looking forward to all the things that 2010 is in store for me.
